Vote for boys: El Paso Children's Hospital HS top fall athlete

With the 2025-26 high school sports season ongoing, the El Paso Times will give readers a chance to vote to identify El Paso’s top athletes.

This week, readers can vote for which El Paso Times‘ El Paso Children’s Hospital high school boy athlete had the best performance in cross country and football.

Here are the nominees:

  • Ernie Powers, Franklin football. Finished the season with 3,742 yards rushing and 57 rushing touchdowns.
  • Ray Estrada, El Dorado football. Led the Aztecs to both a district championship and bidistrict plasyoff championship in District 1-5A, Division. Signed with the University of Minnesota.
  • Daveon Singleton, Chapin football. Singleton helped guided the Huskies to a share of the District 1-5A, Division 1 title and is a UTEP signeee.
  • Jake Fette, Del Valle football. The Arizona State signee led Del Valle to three straight district titles in his career at the Class 5A school.
  • Antonio Arreola, San Elizario cross country. Helped lead the Eagles to the Class 4A state cross country meet,
  • Noah Loweree, Eastwood cross country. Helped lead the Eagles to the Class 6A state cross country meet and a District 1-6A title.
  • Carlos Rojas III, Riverside football. The standout quarterback was solid for the Rangers, passed for 1,516 yards and rushed for 2,279 yards.
  • Jamari Milton, Andress football. Milton helped guide the Eagles to a playoff win vs. Wichita Falls Memorial and had more than 2,200 yards of total offense in the regular season.
