According to a report from 247Sports’ Chris Hummer, Alabama Crimson Tide offensive lineman Roq Montgomery is set to enter the NCAA transfer portal when it opens.

Montgomery becomes the second Alabama player to announce their intentions to enter the portal in recent days, as the offensive lineman now joins defensive back Kameron Howard in doing so.

A redshirt sophomore, Montgomery came to Alabama as a member of the Crimson Tide’s 2023 recruiting class, and has seen action in a combined 14 games during his time in Tuscaloosa as a backup offensive lineman. Montgomery also saw a significant amount of action in 2024 on special teams for the Crimson Tide, but has not seen any playing time during the 2025 season up to this point.

Prior to Alabama, Montgomery was rated as the nation’s No. 395 overall prospect in the 2023 recruiting cycle, per the 247Sports Composite rankings, as well as the No. 25 interior offensive lineman nationally out of Anniston High School in Alabama.
