Evan Stewart out for Oregon Ducks' CFP quarterfinal vs. Texas Tech

The Oregon Ducks are gearing up for the biggest game of their season, and fortunately, they appear ready for the moment from a health standpoint.
After dealing with injuries for much of the season, things have been trending in the right direction for the Ducks over the past month, thanks to a reasonable amount of time to rest and recuperate ahead of the playoffs. Now, with a game against the Texas Tech Red Raiders in the Orange Bowl on New Year’s Day, Oregon is largely healthy for the quarterfinal matchup.
In the Ducks’ final availability report leading up to the game, there are only a handful of guys who have been ruled out, all of whom were expected to be unavailable for this game. Chief among them is wide receiver Evan Stewart, who has been dealing with a knee injury throughout the season and has yet to see the field following off-season surgery on his Patellar Tendon. Stewart warmed up for the first-round CFP game against the James Madison Dukes, but did not dress for the game. He has also been listed as “out” leading up to this game, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that he will not play on Thursday.

Along with Stewart, Da’Jaun Riggs and Gernorris Wilson are the only two non-transfer portal players who are listed as out for this game.
It should also be noted that true freshman safety Trey McNutt is listed as a game-time decision for this game. McNutt has yet to play this year due to a foot injury in fall camp, but has been working his way back into game shape, and could very well make his college debut on Thursday, should the Ducks need him.
The game against Texas Tech kicks off at noon ET and will be aired on ESPN.
