NEW ORLEANS — Ole Miss football is wearing unique helmets in its second College Football Playoff game.

Ole Miss (12-1) is facing Georgia (12-1) in the Sugar Bowl at 7 p.m. (ESPN). It's one of four quarterfinal games in the College Football Playoff. It is being played at Caesars Superdome.

The Rebels are wearing helmets with a white-and-blue camouflaged pattern. It is part of a collaboration with Realtree, which is an outdoor sporting goods brand.

Ole Miss has had success in the Realtree helmets. Ole Miss wore the helmets twice before this season. The first time was in a win against South Carolina on Nov. 1., and then in the Egg Bowl against Mississippi State on Nov. 28.

The helmets were first worn in 2023. They came about through a partnerships between Ole Miss and Bill and Tyler Jordan, who run Realtree and are Ole Miss boosters.

Ole Miss vs. Georgia predictions

Sam Hutchens: Expect a lower-scoring game than the regular-season contest. It would be hard to repeat that game, which featured 78 total points and just two combined punts. Georgia already beat Ole Miss once, and it's playing its best football of the season.

Sam Sklar: The Rebels certainly have a chance to win with how well Trinidad Chambliss is playing. Georgia, though, has continuously found ways to win, even when it doesn’t play at its best. Coach Kirby Smart, with extra preparation, finds a way to beat Ole Miss again.

Tia Reid: Ole Miss played a solid game offensively against Georgia in the regular season and has been strong on that side of the ball all year. Still, Kirby Smart and Georgia managed to best Ole Miss once, especially in the most crucial moments of the game, and it wouldn't be surprising if they find a way to do it again.

Ole Miss vs. Georgia score predictions

  • Sam Hutchens: Georgia 30, Ole Miss 21.
  • Sam Sklar: Georgia 30, Ole Miss 26.
  • Tia Reid: Georgia 28, Ole Miss 23.
