LAWRENCE — The Division I transfer portal window for college football runs Jan. 2 through Jan. 16, and that means Friday is the opening day of it for the Kansas football program.

The Jayhawks already have one public addition in Grand Valley State transfer Jibriel Conde. Conde, who will be making the jump up from Division II, is a 247Sports-rated three-star defensive lineman in the portal and is listed by KU as a defensive tackle. Kansas announced his signing on Dec. 4.

The Jayhawks have, though, also already seen a sizable group of players already reveal their intentions to transfer away prior to the portal opening. Some names to know there include redshirt senior safety Lyrik Rawls, redshirt junior linebacker Trey Lathan and freshman quarterback David McComb. Lathan led the team in tackles in 2025, while Rawls was second on the team in tackles.

Follow along for updates as the transfer portal window unfolds for a KU team that finished 5-7 during the 2025 season, with transfer ratings as listed by 247Sports.
