Auburn football has received some more good news with another defensive player announcing they will be back with the team. Defensive lineman Jourdin Crawford announced on social media that he will be returning to the Tigers.

Crawford did not see much playing time in 2025, but he is a talented player who has the potential to make an impact in 2026. He only recorded two tackles during the entire season, but he did play in nine games for the Tigers. He was a four-star signing for the 2025 recruiting class and was rated as the No. 7 player in Alabama by 247Sports. The coach who recruited him, Vontrell King-Williams, is one of the few coaches that Alex Golesh retained on his staff. That also played a role in Crawford returning to Auburn.

The Tigers will be looking for some new stars among the defensive line with Keldric Faulk and Keyron Crawford now heading to the NFL. Auburn also received good news on the first day of the year with DeMarcus Riddick, Malik Autry, and Elijah Melendez announcing their intentions to return. Also, they recently received the news that linebacker Xavier Atkins would be back as well. Those will all be key players for returning defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin.

The transfer portal officially opens on Jan. 2, and perhaps this is just the beginning of positive news for the Auburn Tigers and what the 2026 roster will look like.
