Congratulations to Ole Miss, which beat Georgia in a College Football Playoff upset to set up a semifinal matchup against Miami… and then maybe a shot at a national title.

But the Rebels can’t completely forget Lane Kiffin, who decided to bolt for LSU right before the postseason began. That’s because LSU made a contract agreement to pay Kiffin the bonuses he would have made for Ole Miss’s playoff wins, which would be quite the sum as it adds up.

It starts with this win on Thursday. Kiffin will make a $500,000 bonus from LSU for the Ole Miss win. He made $250,000 for the Rebels’ win over Tulane and now he’s getting another $500,000.
