As the transfer window officially opens for college football, there is one more name from the Penn State roster to add to the NCAA transfer portal database. Offensive lineman Eagan Boyer is the newest name to add to the list, according to a report from Matt Zenitz of 247Sports on Friday morning.
Boyer was a three-star commitment in Penn State’s Class of 2024. After redshirting the 2024 season, Boyer worked his way more into the offensive line’s plans in 2025. He will have three more years of eligibility to put to use at his next stop.
Boyer is the third offensive lineman from Penn State’s roster to jump into the transfer portal this offseason. He joins J’ven Williams and Alex Birchmeier in the portal as it opens, as well as a growing number of other players from the roster.
The NCAA transfer portal opens Friday (Jan. 2) and remains open through Jan. 16. During that time, any player can enter the transfer portal. Once the transfer window closes, no players can enter the transfer portal until after next season. The only exceptions are for the two schools in the College Football Playoff championship game and any program that hires a new coach. Players taking part in the national final have a special five-day window following the game to enter the portal.
