BATON ROUGE – LSU football is losing a skill player that may have been a key contributor in 2026.
Sophomore wide receiver Kyle Parker has officially entered the transfer portal when it formally opened Friday. He announced his intentions to put his name in the portal Thursday night via his social media pages.
Parker was a starting wide receiver for LSU in the Texas Bowl last week and was LSU’s top playmaker in the game, catching seven passes for 68 yards with a touchdown. The yards and receptions were career-high marks for Parker. He finished 2025 with four scores.
In three seasons with Tigers, Parker totaled 34 catches for 385 yards and five touchdowns.
Why did Kyle Parker enter the transfer portal?
Lane Kiffin is now the head coach at LSU and this could’ve been a case of system fit or uncertainty that after three seasons, Parker may not be in line for an expanded role under a different offensive coaching staff.
Getting into the transfer portal affords Parker an opportunity to find a new team that’ll be eager to inject him into their offense so he can consistently be called upon to make plays.
Kyle Parker transfer portal landing spots
Parker is from Texas so the Power Four schools in Texas would be ones to watch for where Parker could land.
Arkansas could be another possible landing spot for Parker if he wants to stay in the SEC. New Razorbacks coach Ryan Silverfield offered him out of high school so there is a connection there.
