Not to get lost in all of the Notre Dame football news from Friday, the Irish received great news that one of its star defenders will return for another season.
Junior linebacker Drayk Bowen had a big decision to make, to leave South Bend for the NFL or chase his championship dreams for another season, and it will be the latter. After racking up 67-tackles and 3.5 sacks this fall, the in-state native will play a final season for Notre Dame.
Coming on the heels of Al Washington moving from coaching the defensive line to the linebackers, this is massive news for the unit. Along with Jaiden Ausberry, and Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa the Irish return its top three tacklers from this past season. They should be one of the top groups nationally entering the 2026 season.
