Florida linebacker Jaden Robinson confirmed his return for the 2026 season on Thursday, Jan. 1.
Swamp247 initially reported Robinson’s return on Dec. 22, Gators Online followed up with a report that he had re-signed with Florida on Jan. 1 and Robinson confirmed the news with a social media post that afternoon.
A four-star recruit out of high school, according to 247Sports and Rivals, Robinson signed with Florida as a member of the 2023 class. He made an immediate impact, playing in all 12 games —primarily on special teams — and making one start as a true freshman. He finished the year with four total tackles and one quarterback hurry.
Robinson played a larger role in Florida’s defense as a sophomore in 2024, recording 52 tackles (28 solo), 3.5 tackles for a loss, 3.5 sacks and one quarterback hurry over 13 games, including four starts.
He stepped into a starting role this past season, playing 491 of 611 snaps on defense. He posted 50 tackles (28 solo), 4.0 tackles for a loss, two sacks, four quarterback hurries (third most on team), three pass breakups (third most) and a forced fumble.

Robinson is the third Florida linebacker to announce his return to the program for 2026, alongside Myles Graham and Aaron Chiles, both of whom are weakside linebackers. With Grayson Howard in the transfer portal, Robinson should be the unquestioned No. 1 middle linebacker for Florida during his senior year.
Florida players who have re-signed with the Gators
While Florida has lost more than two dozen players to the transfer portal, several notable names have publicly announced their intention to re-sign with the Gators.
Quarterback Tramell Jones Jr., wide receivers TJ Abrams, Vernell Brown III and Dallas Wilson, offensive lineman Roderick Kearney, defensive linemen Joseph Mbatchou and Jeramiah McCloud, edges Kamran James and LJ McCray, linebackers Aaron Chiles and Myles Graham and defensive backs Lagonza Hayward, Dijon Johnson, Cormani McClain and Bryce Thornton have also announced new deals with Florida Victorious.
Tight end Amir Jackson also reversed his decision to enter the transfer portal. Offensive lineman Jason Zandamela is expected to return as well.
