It's been a hectic and crazy month for the LSU Tigers, who hired Lane Kiffin as the new head coach and have watched him come in and take over the program. One of the biggest tasks for Kiffin over the past few weeks has been building out the roster, retaining and recruiting players for the 2026 season.

It appears that one of the players he was unable to retain is running back Caden Durham, the leading rusher from the 2025 season. Durham, a former top-100 recruit in the class of 2024, has been a productive player for two years in Baton Rouge, rushing for 1,258 yards and nine touchdowns in 24 games.

Standing at 5-foot-9, 205 pounds, Durham is a solid back who can act as a dynamic pass-catcher out of the backfield. He is now expected to be one of the top RBs in the portal this offseason and will garner a lot of interest.

Meanwhile, Kiffin and the Tigers likely feel confident in former 5-star Harlem Berry, who had 491 yards and two touchdowns in his true freshman season at LSU.
