The Oregon Ducks have one of the top cornerback rooms in the country, and they may soon be even better after reportedly being interested in the No. 3 ranked cornerback and No. 43 ranked overall player in the 2026 transfer portal class, Utah’s Smith Snowden.

Per a report from 247Sports’ Blair Angulo, Oregon has expressed interest in the Utes‘ transfer cornerback, with Michigan, Colorado, Ole Miss, BYU, Florida, Cal and Washington also targeting the standout cover man.

Snowden was an All-Big 12 selection in 2025, recording 24 solo tackles, nine passes defensed and two interceptions. He was also used offensively for the 11-2 Utes, carrying the ball eight times for 40 yards and a touchdown while catching 13 passes for 57 yards.

With slot corner Jadon Canady running out of eligibility at the conclusion of this season, Snowden would be a like-for-like fit, with both weighing 185 pounds and Canady just one inch taller at 5-foot-11. Canady was also a transfer, coming to Oregon from Ole Miss.

While the Ducks‘ cornerback room is ultra-talented, they’ve lost a lot of their depth during the last couple of weeks, with six members of the secondary entering the transfer portal. The battle to start alongside Brandon Finney Jr. will commence during spring ball, with Snowden arguably the most accomplished player potentially in the mix.
