According to a report from ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Alabama Crimson Tide starting offensive lineman Wilkin Formby is entering the NCAA transfer portal.
Formby, a redshirt sophomore, has spent the past three seasons in Tuscaloosa as a member of the Crimson Tide.
Also a native of Tuscaloosa, Formby came to Alabama as a member of the Crimson Tide’s 2023 recruiting class, as well as a four-star, Top 100 overall prospect out of in-state Northridge High School, per the 247Sports Composite rankings.
With the Crimson Tide, Formby appeared in 27 total games from 2023-25, which included 16 starts. Of those starts, 14 came during the 2025 season as a redshirt sophomore where he saw a significant amount of action for Alabama at both right tackle and right guard.
Formby now joins multiple other Alabama offensive linemen who have entered the transfer portal since it opened.
