As the Iowa football program continues to search in the transfer portal, the Hawkeyes extended an offer to Kent State slot receiver/running back Cade Wolford on Sunday night.

The 5-foot-10, 195-pound former All-MAC wideout finished the 2025 season as the FBS leader in yards per catch with 26.8 on a total of 509 yards on 19 receptions with seven touchdowns, to go along with 96 yards and one score on 12 carries on the ground. Wolford will have three years of eligibility remaining wherever he commits out of the portal.

While he has not announced an official visit date with the Hawkeyes, 247Sports' Chris Hummer has reported that Wolford is scheduled to visit Oklahoma State (Jan 5-6), UCF (Jan 7-8), and Cincinnati (Jan 10-11).

Considering offensive coordinator Tim Lester has vastly improved the Hawkeyes' passing game over his two seasons so far, having a talented slot receiver like Wolford would be an excellent addition for the program next season and beyond.
