Iowa State football names special teams coaches

Iowa State football coach Jimmy Rogers has announced the special teams coaches for his first season leading the Cyclones.

Rob Grande will serve as special teams coordinator while Ron Pavlik and Jacob Studdard will assist in coaching the Cyclone specialists.

Grande returns for his seventh season at Iowa State as the special teams coordinator. He has worked with ISU’s special teams units since 2023, with last season’s group taking home five Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week honors.

Pavlik, a Portage, Indiana, native, comes to Iowa State after spending the last three seasons alongside Rogers at both Washington State and South Dakota State.

Studdard, from Southfield, Michigan, arrives at Iowa State following three seasons as running backs coach and special teams coordinator for Grand Valley State, which included a pair of NCAA Division II playoff appearances.
