USC Trojans coach Lincoln Riley has remained an underachiever since the program transitioned from the Pac-12 to the Big Ten in recent years. Without a national title to show for it, college football pundits are beginning to grow tired of Riley not meeting expectations.

Add Brady Quinn to the list, who had a fascinating opinion about why Indiana Hoosiers coach Curt Cignetti is everything Riley could currently be, because the Hoosiers' turnaround into a Big Ten football powerhouse is essentially unprecedented.

Quinn said he isn't buying it for a second, fully separating both programs.

“Cignetti is doing in two years what some say takes four just to open that window,” Quinn tweeted.

Riley said his team is finally arriving and he likes the direction it's going in despite the level of frustration the fanbase continues to showcase.

“I really believe a window here has opened up. … That’s taken a lot of effort by a lot of people, a lot of commitment by a lot of people,” Riley told reporters after the Alamo Bowl. “Four fun but really challenging years to get it open, but it’s open now.”

"We all feel that, all of us that are fortunate enough to be able to come back here next year, because it's not our right, coaching or playing. Working at USC is not anybody's right. It's a privilege," Riley said.

With both teams going in opposite directions, the Hoosiers are attempting to complete an undefeated season by winning a national title later this month.

To do so, they will have to beat the Oregon Ducks again. This time, though, it's win-or-go-home as the Peach Bowl is one of two semifinal games in a 48-hour span Thursday and Friday.

Friday's kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET from Atlanta, Ga.
