According to a report from CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz, Alabama Crimson Tide outside linebacker Qua Russaw is set to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

Russaw, who recently concluded his redshirt sophomore season, will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

A former top recruit in Alabama's 2023 class, Russaw has seen action across each of the past two seasons after not recording any stats during his true freshman campaign, making a combined 50 tackles with 3.5 TFL, two sacks, two interceptions, and one forced fumble.

This included a breakout 2024 campaign as a redshirt freshman where he emerged as Alabama's starting wolf in the Kane Wommack defense, but Russaw's production took a step back in 2025 though, with the main reason as to why being missed time due to injury. In 2025, Russaw appeared in nine total games for the Crimson Tide, racking up 14 tackles, one TFL, and one sack.

Prior to Alabama, Russaw was ranked as the nation's No. 33 overall prospect from the 2023 recruiting cycle, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. Russaw was also considered the nation's No. 6 edge rusher out of in-state Carver-Montgomery High School.
