MANHATTAN — Kansas State football landed the commitment from one of its offensive line targets.

Cal Poly transfer Charlie Adams III has committed to Kansas State, according to CBS Sports reporter Chris Hummer. The 6-foot-4, 305-pound sophomore is coming off a season in which he didn’t allow a sack.

Adams was also being courted by Southern Miss and North Texas. He has two years of eligibility remaining, plus a redshirt. He’s the second offensive lineman to commit to the Wildcats, joining incoming Missouri transfer Keiton Jones.

Playing in the FCS Big Sky Conference, Pro Football Focus graded Adams as the league’s 10th-best offensive lineman in 2025. He started at right tackle, playing 513 snaps and giving up nine pressures on 312 pass blocks, a 3.1% pressure rate, which ranked fifth among Big Sky tackles. Only seven of his snaps weren’t played at right tackle.

Adams started his career at El Camino College and was offered by Southern Miss, Eastern Washington and Campbell before landing at Cal Poly. He played his high school ball at Cathedral in Los Angeles.

Where Kansas State decides to line Adams up will be worth watching. Adams could be moved into the interior of the offensive line, where the Wildcats need the most help, with John Pastore and George Fitzpatrick projecting as starters at tackle. Kansas State likely isn’t done adding to its offensive line, with several others having visited or scheduled to visit in the coming days.
