Alabama offensive lineman Michael Carroll has announced his return to the Crimson Tide for the 2026 season.
Carroll played a crucial role on the Alabama offensive line in 2025, as the Tide find themselves with a key starter returning for the 2026 campaign. Carroll thrived throughout his freshman year in Tuscaloosa, as the dynamic big man earned himself All-SEC and Freshman All-American status for his performance this year. The former five-star recruit made 12 appearances with six starts at right tackle, as the talented lineman will almost certainly become a full-time starter once the season kicks off in August.
Carroll was ranked as the No. 1 overall interior offensive lineman and the No. 17 overall player from the class of 2025, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. The dynamic lineman's return is a massive win for the Crimson Tide, as Alabama has lost a number of starting lineman to both the NFL draft and the transfer portal in recent days.
At 6'6", 321 pounds, Carroll will instantly add a major boost to Alabama's run game as the Tide will now look to continue building around the rising sophomore.
