The Georgia Bulldogs are losing cornerback Ondre Evans to the NCAA transfer portal. Evans is the latest Georgia defensive back to enter the portal. He joins UGA defensive backs Joenel Aguero, Daniel Harris and Jaden Harris in entering the transfer portal this offseason.
Evans is a former four-star recruit from Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville, Tennessee. He has not appeared in a college football game in his career and missed the 2025 season with a torn ACL that he suffered in the spring.
Evans is the 10th Georgia player to enter the portal. His likely departure is not a huge deal for Georgia, but him leaving does hurt Georgia’s depth and continuity.
The 5-foot-11, 190-pound defensive back could have four years of eligibility left since he had a major injury that forced him to miss the 2025 season and redshirted in 2024.
In other Georgia defensive back news, the Bulldogs did bring in Clemson Tigers safety Khalil Barnes via the transfer portal. Barnes is a former freshman All-American and was a three-year starter at Clemson.
