After helping Ferris State to another NCAA Division II championship, Carson Gulker has bigger plans for his final year of eligibility.
The Zeeland West graduate has committed to Michigan State.
Gulker, a 6-foot, 3-inch, 240-pound tight end/h-back had 541 rushing yards, 548 receiving yards, 141 passing yards and 13 total touchdowns in his redshirt-junior season with the Bulldogs.
He scored a touchdown in the NCAA Division II championship game last month, the fourth national title for the Bulldogs in the past five seasons.
Gulker, who was an all-state quarterback at Zeeland West, follows in the footsteps of former Ferris State teammate Trinidad Chambliss, who went to star at Ole Miss this season.
They split snaps last year before Gulker broke his leg.
