Missouri football adds 3rd Auburn transfer with WR Horatio Fields

Missouri football has an Auburn trio arriving.

Mizzou landed its third commitment of the day out of the transfer portal Wednesday, as Auburn wide receiver Horatio Fields announced via social media that he has committed to the Tigers. Fields is the third player to transfer to Mizzou from Auburn in the past three days, following linebacker Robert Woodyard Jr. and defensive back Kensley Louidor-Faustin.

Fields sustained a broken foot in September and missed the remainder of the 2025 season. He had caught 12 passes for 106 yards before the injury and was expected to be a big part of the Auburn offense.

The wide receiver previously played for Wake Forest, where he caught 39 passes for 467 yards and four touchdowns in 2024.

Fields is listed as 6-foot-2, 201 pounds, and was a three-star prospect in the Class of 2021.

He has one remaining year of eligibility with a medical waiver to play a sixth season.

Fields is the second wide receiver to commit to Missouri so far in this window, as Eli Drinkwitz’s staff has targeted the position in this window. Caleb Goodie committed to the Tigers from Cincinnati on Monday.

Four of Mizzou’s top-five wide receivers from 2025 will no longer be on the roster next season. Kevin Coleman Jr. and Xavier Loyd are out of eligibility, and Joshua Manning and Marquis Johnson have transferred to Kansas State and Mississippi State, respectively.

Missouri now has nine total commitments out of the portal, including Ole Miss quarterback Austin Simmons.

Three of those players committed on Wednesday, as Fields followed Mississippi State offensive lineman Luke Work and his Auburn teammate Louidor-Faustin.
