Wisconsin transfer wide receiver Trech Kekahuna committed to North Carolina on Monday.

Kekahuna entered the portal last week after three seasons with the Badgers. He joined the program as a three-star recruit in the class of 2023, recommitting to the Luke Fickell-led program after previously walking back his pledge after Paul Chryst’s firing in October.

The speedy slot receiver appeared in 29 games over three years with the program, totaling 55 catches, 614 receiving yards, 15 carries, 140 rushing yards and three total touchdowns. His move to North Carolina reunites him with former Wisconsin quarterback Billy Edwards, who committed to the Tar Heels over the weekend. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 161 overall player and the No. 40 wide receiver in the portal.

The play of both Kekahuna and Edwards will be worth watching in 2026, as Tar Heels head coach Bill Belichick looks to improve upon a disappointing 4-8 debut season. The former Badgers are at the center of the coach’s work to reshape his offensive roster.
