Georgia football adds WR from rival Georgia Tech via transfer portal

Georgia football has added difference-makers out of the transfer portal at wide receiver.
It hopes it found another who will keep that going with a player from its in-state rival.
Georgia Tech transfer Isiah Canion announced his commitment to the Bulldogs on Thursday, Jan. 8. He announced his decision in an Instagram post.
Canion led Georgia Tech with 4 touchdown catches last season as a sophomore while finishing tied for third on the team with 33 catches for 480 yards.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Warner Robins product will join a team that is losing its top three pass catchers in Zachariah Branch (USC transfer), Dillon Bell and Colbie Young (Miami transfer).
Canion tied for 10th in the ACC with 5 catches of 30 or more yards, according to cfbstats.com
Canion was a four-star rated prospect in the 2024 class when he was the nation’s No. 194 prospect by the 247Sports Composite.
