The Ohio Bobcats keep poking the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Since Ohio State’s elimination from the College Football Playoff on Dec. 31 in a 24-14 Cotton Bowl loss to Miami (FLA), Ohio University’s social media team has shared multiple posts celebrating the Bobcats’ bowl win with some not-so-subtle trolling.

In a Jan. 7 post, Ohio football posted a graphic stating the Bobcats were “THE only team in Ohio to win a bowl game.” The post graphic and text emphasized a “THE” at the beginning of the post to poke fun at the Buckeyes.

The Bobcats had a similar post bragging about the feat on Jan. 2, two days after the Buckeyes lost the Cotton Bowl.

On Dec. 23, Ohio University played in the Frisco Bowl against UNLV, winning 17-10. The Bobcats played without head coach Brian Smith, who was fired for cause Dec. 17.

Three days after winning the bowl game, the school removed the interim tag from interim head coach and defensive coordinator John Hauser.

Ohio State played the Bobcats in Week 3 of the college football season and won 37-9.
