Michigan football got three commitments on Thursday, but now it also has three transfer portal entries.

The Wolverines got commitments from K Trey Butkowski, RB Taylor Tatum, and EDGE John Henry Daley, but also saw OL Ty Haywood, CB Jayden Sanders, and now another player enter the portal. Safety Brandyn Hillman was a starter this past year, and he was expected to return to the program. Hillman played with a penchant for hard-hitting and has at times shown a lack of on-field discipline, but often the tradeoff was worth it.

However, he appears to be on his way out, as On3's Hayes Fawcett reports he is entering the transfer portal, Michigan's third departure of the day.

With Hillman's portal entry, at the moment, Michigan still has Rod Moore, Mason Curtis, TJ Metcalf, Tevis Metcalf, Kainoa Winston, and Jacob Oden at the position.

Hillman joins fellow Michigan safety Jaden Mangham as departing the program this cycle. Hillman had originally signed with Notre Dame, but was released from his NLI and committed to the Wolverines prior to the 2023 season.
