How college football reacted to Ole Miss loss vs Miami, SEC elimination from CFP

The college football world is buzzing from Ole Miss football’s heartbreaking loss in the College Football Playoff.

The No. 6 seed Rebels (13-2) suffered a 31-27 loss to Miami (13-2) in the Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 8 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Ole Miss took a 27-24 lead with 3:13 remaining on a 24-yard Trinidad Chambliss pass to tight end Dae’Quan Wright. The Hurricanes scored the winner on a Carson Beck 3-yard rushing touchdown with 18 seconds left.

Miami will play either Indiana or Oregon in the national championship game on Jan. 19 (6:30 p.m CT, ESPN) in Miami Gardens, Florida.
