Auburn football continues to reel in homegrown talent from the transfer portal.
The Tigers’ most recent signee is a native of New Hope, Alabama, and has worked his way up the ranks from NCAA Division 2 to the SEC. Cody Sigler announced his transfer to Auburn on Thursday after spending last season at Arkansas State. Before his time with the Red Wolves, Sigler played three seasons at West Alabama.
Sigler earned second-team All-Sun Belt Conference honors in 2025 after registering 35 tackles, seven for loss, and five sacks. He also recovered one fumble and deflected six passes. According to Pro Football Focus data, Sigler was Arkansas State’s highest-graded defender at 84.3, which is mostly due to his 30 created pressures and his ability to slow down opposing offenses’ run games.
Auburn has loaded up on offensive talent, as well as defensive back players, from the transfer portal, with Sigler becoming the first defensive lineman to land with the Tigers. For the latest news on transfer portal movement with Auburn football, visit Auburn Wire’s Transfer Portal tracker.
