What a dominant first half for Indiana football in the College Football Playoff Peach Bowl semifinal.

The No. 1-ranked Hoosiers lead Oregon 35-7 at halftime, with a chance to emerge to the national championship game for the first time in program history. Indiana is just the fifth team in CFP history to score 35 points in the first half.

For Indiana, 21 of the 35 points have come off turnovers. D'Angelo Ponds returned the opening throw from Dante Moore for a 25-yard touchdown to give Indiana a quick 7-0 lead. That set the tone, as the Hoosiers out-gained the Ducks 175-121 in the first half, with Oregon gaining 75 of those yards on its second drive alone.

Indiana out-gained Oregon 175-121 in total yards in the first half. The Hoosiers had three scores off Oregon turnovers, including a pick-six and two fumble recoveries deep in Ducks' territory.

Besides the turnovers, the Hoosiers sacked Oregon QB Dante Moore three times for 35 yards, while picking up five tackles for loss, resulting in 27 yards lost for the Ducks.

Indiana was 6-of-7 on third down conversions, while averaging 5.6 yards per play. Indiana was a perfect 3-of-3 in the red zone.
