Former Florida quarterback DJ Lagway will visit Ole Miss football on Jan. 10 even though he is committed to transfer to Baylor, according to multiple media reports.
Lagway confirmed to On3 on Jan. 9 that he is still taking visits even though he is committed to Baylor.
“Everything has been hectic,” Lagway told On3. “I don’t know where people are getting stuff at in the beginning, but yes, I am committed to Baylor.”
Ole Miss is also getting a visit on Jan. 10 from former Auburn quarterback Deuce Knight, according to media reports.
The visits come a day after the NCAA denied Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss’ eligibility waiver for the 2026 season.
The ruling ends Chambliss’ college career, but Ole Miss AD Keith Carter said the school would appeal the decision.
Chambliss led Ole Miss to the CFP semifinals in the Fiesta Bowl, where the Rebels lost 31-27 to Miami on Jan. 8.
Lagway threw for 2,264 yards, 16 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in his sophomore season at Florida. The Gators went 4-8 and fired coach Billy Napier midseason. Florida hired Jon Sumrall as coach from Tulane for the 2026 season.
