Fourth Penn State defensive transfer commits to Tennessee football

A fourth Penn State defensive transfer committed to Tennessee following the 2025 football season. Defensive back Dejuan Lane signed with the Vols on Saturday, according to Pete Nakos of On3.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound defensive back appeared in 29 games, including three starts, for the Nittany Lions from 2024-25.
Lane joins defensive lineman Xavier Gilliam, linebacker Amare Campbell and defensive lineman Chaz Coleman as Penn State players who transferred to Tennessee.
The former Nittany Lions will reunite with Jim Knowles. Tennessee hired him as defensive coordinator following the 2025 regular season. Knowles was Penn State’s defensive coordinator in 2025 after serving in the same capacity at Ohio State from 2022-24.
The NCAA transfer portal will close Jan. 16 after opening on Jan. 2.
