The Wisconsin Badgers have momentum on the recruiting trail, not just in the transfer portal. Four-star tight end Korz Loken committed to the program during the Navy All-American Bowl on Friday. Loken ranks as the No. 1 player in the state of Wisconsin and the No. 8 tight end in the country, per 247Sports. Loken had offers from Indiana, Notre Dame, Kansas, and Iowa State, but decided to stay home and help head coach Luke Fickell bring Wisconsin back to its winning traditions.
Loken is Wisconsin's second commit in the class of 2027, joining offensive tackle Ethan McIntosh, who is the son of athletic director Chris McIntosh. Both of the program's 2027 commits are in-state talents, with the potential for a few more. Wisconsin is still in the running for offensive tackle Cole Reiter, edge Isaac Miller, and running back Kingston Allen, among others.
The program's finish in the class of 2026 was disappointing after both running back Amari Latimer and wideout Jayden Petit decommitted, so capitalizing on a strong in-state pool of talent in the class of 2027 needs to be a priority for the Badgers and their coaching staff.
