Oklahoma, Oklahoma State transfer commits to Tennessee football

Tennessee received its ninth commitment from the NCAA transfer portal. Oklahoma State redshirt junior wide receiver Gavin Freeman committed to the Vols.

The 5-foot-8, 185-pound wide receiver appeared in 15 games for the Cowboys from 2024-25. He totaled 59 receptions for 526 yards and four touchdowns. Freeman also recorded 207 kick return yards and 99 punt return yards at Oklahoma State.

He transferred to the Cowboys from Oklahoma. From 2022-23, Freeman appeared in 26 contests for the Sooners and recorded 22 receptions for 141 yards and one touchdown.

He is the son of former Oklahoma tight end Jason Freeman. Gavin Freeman started his collegiate career at Oklahoma as walk-on and earned a scholarship for the spring 2023 semester.

The former Cowboy and Sooner is from Heritage Hall School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The NCAA transfer portal will close Friday after opening Jan. 2.
