LSU football is hosting a major transfer portal target at quarterback, according to a Saturday night report from Matt Moscona. Ex-USC quarterback Husan Longstreet is on campus as Lane Kiffin and the Tigers continue to search for their next signal caller.
Longstreet spent one year at USC after signing out of high school in 2025. Longstreet was one of the top-ranked players in his class. As a high school recruit, On3 slotted Longstreet as the No. 3-ranked quarterback of the cycle. 247Sports and ESPN also placed Longstreet top five at his position.
Now in the portal, On3's Transfer Portal Industry Rankings have Longstreet as the No. 17-ranked player overall and the No. 6 QB.
Quarterback remains LSU's top priority in the transfer portal. The Tigers currently have zero scholarship QBs on the roster or committed to play. The Tigers are also targeting Elon's Landen Clark and LSU needs to sign at least two transfer quarterbacks.

Longstreet appeared in four games with the Trojans in 2025, preserving his redshirt. If he transfers to LSU, he'll have four years of eligibility remaining.
Longstreet may not have the immediate high floor offered by Brendan Sorsby or Sam Leavitt, two other QBs LSU targeted this cycle, but his ceiling his higher. If LSU hits on Longstreet, and he pans out, the Tigers have their QB of the present and the future.
