Former Auburn wide receiver Cam Coleman committed to Texas Football from the NCAA transfer portal, he announced via Instagram on Sunday. Coleman is the No. 2 ranked player in the portal and a massive signing for Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian.

Texas has won the sweepstakes for one of the most coveted playmakers in the portal over Alabama, Texas Tech and Texas A&M. The former five-star recruit, is transferring after two seasons at Auburn. He has two more years of eligibility, but will probably enter the NFL draft after the 2026 season.

Coleman has been the Tigers primary playmaker for two season with 93 receptions for 1,306 yards, 13 touchdowns and stellar 14 yards per catch. In 2025, Coleman had 56 grabs for 708 yards, five touchdowns and averaged 12.6 yards per catch.

Coleman was one of Auburn's highest ranked recruits in modern history. The top five recruit in the 2024 class, the 6-foot-3, 201-pound wideout picked the Tigers over Clemson, Texas A&M, Alabama, LSU and a dozens of other major programs.

Originally, Coleman was committed Texas A&M. But after five months, the Aggies fired head coach Jimbo Fisher. Coleman would flip to Auburn. Coleman opted to leave Auburn following the firing of coach Hugh Freeze on Nov. 2.
