Notre Dame wide receiver KK Smith will be leaving the Fighting Irish to join the Michigan State Spartans.
Smith played in 17 games for the Irish — 10 in 2025. He had 11 catches for 161 yards and two touchdowns during his Notre Dame career, which spanned from 2023 to 2025. In 2025, Smith had 8 receptions for 123 yards and two touchdowns.
Notre Dame seems to be bleeding players in the transfer portal, but most of those departing have been backups and depth pieces — some players have seen little action. Smith was a bit busier for the Irish, but he wasn't, at least not yet, a key part of the wide-receiving corps.
