Oregon reserve QB Luke Moga to enter transfer portal, per report

The Oregon Ducks have lost another quarterback via the transfer portal, as reserve Luka Moga joins Austin Novosad in entering the transfer portal and departing from the program.

Moga was a three-star prospect and ranked as the No. 61 quarterback in the 2024 class coming out of Sunnyslope High School in Phoenix, AZ, per 247 Sports.

The 6-foot-2, 204-pound passer didn’t appear in a game as a true freshman, utilizing a redshirt. He saw action in three games in 2025, completing three of five passes for 58 yards and carrying the ball three times for 49 yards. Moga’s top performance came in the Ducks‘ 69-3 victory over Oklahoma State, as he finished with 53 passing yards and 22 rushing yards.

He also excelled in track during high school, recording a 10.4-second time in the 100-meter dash.

Moga performed well during Oregon’s 2025 spring game, but failed to see sustained time on the field this season.

With the uncertainty of starter Dante Moore‘s situation, Dylan Raiola’s interest in the Oregon program and Brock Thomas — Moore’s primary backup this season — expected to return, Moga has decided to depart from the program.

Along with Novosad, the Phoenix native joins several other offensive players in the transfer portal for the Ducks, highlighted by running back Makhi Hughes and wide receiver Kyler Kasper.

Moga will have either three or four years of eligibility remaining depending on on if his medical redshirt is accepted.
