Former Washington State wide receiver Mackenzie Alleyne has committed to Oklahoma, via the NCAA Transfer Portal. He spent two seasons with the Cougars.

Alleyne appeared in all 13 of Washington State’s games this past season. He recorded four catches for 72 total yards and a touchdown. As a true freshman in the 2024 campaign, Alleyne didn’t see any action and ultimately redshirted.

Mackenzie Alleyne played high school football at Tustin (CA), where he was an unranked prospect, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings. At the time of his commitment to the Sooners, he was the No. 345 WR in On3’s 2026 Transfer Portal Player Rankings.

Alleyne is the 11th player who has committed to Oklahoma via the NCAA Transfer Portal this offseason. He’s far from the first talent to come to Oklahoma from Washington State.

Ahead of last season, Oklahoma hired Washington State offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle to serve in the same role for the Sooners. The hire proved to be an excellent decision.

Oklahoma finished the season with a 10-3 overall record and made its first-ever appearance in the College Football Playoff. Oklahoma’s success was largely due to quarterback John Mateer, who also followed Arbuckle from Washington State to Oklahoma.

Oklahoma ultimately fell to Alabama in the first round of the CFP. While Sooners head coach Brent Venables was disappointed in the way the season ended, he believes it’s only the start of a bright future for the program.

“The pride I have for the group of seniors, the guys that won’t be here in the future. I couldn’t be more proud of them, the deposit they chose to make,” Venables said. “In an environment, a world where everybody’s trying to get theirs, this is a group of guys that chose not to take a withdrawal but leave a deposit and leave their mark, do the things that we needed them to do to help elevate this program moving forward.”

Next season will be Brent Venables’ fifth season at the helm of Oklahoma. With players like Mackenzie Alleyne by his side, Venables will attempt to lead the Sooners to new heights.
