Ticket Prices For National Championship Game Spark Major Outrage

Want to go to the College Football Playoff national championship game this year? It's going to cost you…a lot.

No. 1 Indiana is set to take on No. 15 Miami in the College Football Playoff national championship game. The game is scheduled to be played at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. Indiana, with its massive fan base – and very passionate fan base, given their meteoric rise thanks to Curt Cignetti – is expected to pack the stands. Miami, which last won a national championship more than 20 years ago, is expected to have a ton of fans in the stands, too.

But the ticket prices are pretty insane. In fact, the ticket prices are so high that they are sparking outrage online.

Ticket prices for the Indiana vs. Miami College Football Playoff national championship game are more than $1,000 just to get in the door.

College football fans outraged by the ticket prices

"That's as high as Super Bowl pricing," one fan wrote.

"Hey @KirkHerbstreit you called out Miami in 2021 about not wanting to take athletics seriously and they stepped up. Call out prices for the championship game. Maybe they'll drop. $3000 a ticket may not be alot to some. But it's a lot to others. This isn't a corporate event," one fan wrote.

"No football game is worth this much money 😂😂," one fan added.

"Crazy idea. NCAA should consider allotting more, if not all, tickets to the universities playing to sell to through their respective portals so that students, alumni, and season ticket holders have a better opportunity to attend instead of selling to brokers without a cap," one fan added.

"There is very little inventory out there for this game right now. Prices will settle once teams are set and fans actually have seat assignments that will enable them to sell," another fan added.
