The 5 College Football Games to Watch in Week 11

FRIDAY

Tulane at Memphis
9 p.m., ESPN

A high-stakes game for your Friday night. Memphis was the playoff committee’s G5 pick in the first playoff rankings. Tulane will take their place with a road victory. Winner definitely has a leg up in a crowded G5 field.
Prediction: Tulane-30, Memphis-28

SATURDAY

(#7)BYU at (#8)Texas Tech
Noon, ABC

Texas Tech has passed the eye test of the Big XII frontrunner, but is a game behind unbeaten BYU by stumbling to Arizona State. BYU made a statement in a convincing victory over Utah, but will be in for a much bigger test against the Red Raiders. The winner should have a clear path to the conference championship game to play for an auto bid to the playoffs.
Prediction: Texas Tech-31, BYU-21

(#3)Texas A&M at (#22)Missouri
3:30 p.m., ABC

The Aggies don’t just win, they find entertaining ways to do so each week. Their playmakers will be put to the test by a tough Mizzou squad that’s had an extra week to prepare for undefeated A&M. With Beau Pribula still sidelined with an injury, it will be up to five-star freshman quarterback Matt Zollers to engineer the upset.
Prediction: Texas A&M-34, Missouri-27

LSU at (#4)Alabama
7:30 p.m., ABC

Like Penn State, LSU’s season began with national title aspirations but quickly fell apart as they search for their next head coach. Now they look to rally to upset their bitter rival. Alabama has been quite impressive since their week one loss to Florida State, but is far from invincible. Anything can happen in a rivalry game, right?
Prediction: Alabama-24, LSU-20

Navy at (#10)Notre Dame
7:30 p.m., NBC/Peacock

Navy suffered its first loss of the season last week against North Texas to deprive them of a ranked-vs.-ranked match-up against the Irish. Things went a little more smoothly for Notre Dame, although it took them nearly all game to pull away from a one-win Boston College team. The Irish can’t afford any more clunkers if they want to make another playoff run despite the 0-2 start.
Prediction: Notre Dame-31, Navy-21
