Former Nebraska football quarterback Dylan Raiola transferred to the Oregon Ducks on Monday. The starting quarterback seeks a fresh start in Eugene for 2026.

Raiola had a productive career with the Huskers. He recorded 4,819 yards, 31 touchdowns, and 17 interceptions in 22 games with the program. He last played against the USC Trojans before suffering a broken fibula in the third quarter.

Now, he will get a fresh start for a Ducks program that is looking to compete at a high level. In a unique twist, the Huskers are scheduled to play the Ducks this season. The quarterback once thought to be a cornerstone in Lincoln may get a chance to reach his full potential in Eugene.

Social media reactions were strong following the news of Raiola’s transfer. This is certainly major news in what has been a busy transfer portal cycle to date.
