Former Bergen Catholic football star Quincy Porter is headed to Notre Dame.
Porter, who is from New Milford, was unstoppable wide receiver for the Crusaders as they won four straight Non-Public A state championship − a school record − from 2021-24. He amassed more than 2,500 receiving yards in three years, and was named to the North Jersey All-Quarter Century Football Team.
He announced his transfer to Notre Dame on social media on Jan. 12.
Porter spent this past college football season as a freshman at Ohio State. He caught four passes for 59 yards in three appearances.
He now joins a Notre Dame team with two former North Jersey rivals: wide receiver Elijah Burress and running back Nolan James Jr., who both played high school football at DePaul and were Fighting Irish freshmen this past season.
