The Wisconsin Badgers have been adding quite a bit to their 2027 recruiting class, and that continued on Monday evening when in-state offensive lineman Jack Tabbert flipped his commitment from North Dakota State to Wisconsin.

Tabbert, a 6’5, 270-pound interior offensive lineman, hails from Pewaukee, where he earned all-conference honors as a junior. He committed to North Dakota State back in March after getting offers from Florida Atlantic, Harvard, Yale, New Mexico, South Dakota, Central Michigan, and other schools.

But the Badgers, looking for a fifth offensive lineman in the 2027 class, kept tabs on the Pewaukee native and had him on campus this weekend for a camp and visit. Following an impressive showing, he earned an offer from offensive line coach Eric Mateos and quickly flipped his commitment from North Dakota State to Wisconsin.

Tabbert adds something different to Wisconsin’s class, which had a number of tackle prospects with their 2027 commits. The Badgers had landed four-star Cole Reiter, four-star Hunter Mallinger, three-star Reece Mallinger, and three-star Ethan McIntosh already in the 2027 class. Reiter, Hunter Mallinger, and McIntosh could all stick on the edge, so some interior help was needed.

Wisconsin had been looking to add more to its 2027 class, bringing in four-star Alijah Shaw for a visit this past weekend. Shaw currently has Wisconsin and Arkansas as top contenders, having visited both over the past two weekends.

But, for now, they’ve got their fifth offensive lineman in the class with Tabbert’s commitment.
