The Iowa Hawkeyes are staying hot on the recruiting trail. Amid a recent flurry of commitments, the wins keep coming for Kirk Ferentz and his staff as they bolster the class of 2027.
The latest commitment comes on the defensive side of the ball to help continue Phil Parker's long line of success on the defensive line. Iowa's latest commitment comes on the defensive line.
Tommy Riordan, the defensive lineman from Hinsdale Central High School in Hinsdale, Illinois, posted via his account on X, announcing his commitment to the Iowa Hawkeyes. The 6-foot-4 defensive end instantly adds talent to this crop of recruits.
"Excited to announce my commitment to Hawkeye Football to continue my academic and athletic career," Riordan said in his post.

Tommy Riordan, a four-star recruit as part of the class of 2027, is currently ranked the No. 39 edge rusher and the No. 13 recruit from the state of Illinois, per Rivals.
The Iowa Hawkeyes were able to fend off other schools that were offering Tommy Riordan, including Wisconsin, Illinois, Kansas, Kansas State, Minnesota, Purdue, Kent State, Miami (OH), and Toledo.
