The Pro Football Hall of Fame inducted its class of 2026, which included quarterback Drew Brees, wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, linebacker Luke Kuechly, running back Roger Craig, and kicker Adam Vinatieri. A few of them came from premier colleges along the way, but just one of them came from one of the top ten colleges to produce the most Pro Hall of Fame talent.
That would be Larry Fitzgerald. The wide receiver played two seasons (2002-03) at Pitt, earning 161 receptions, 2,677 yards, and 34 touchdowns in 26 games. He earned a First Team Associated Press All-American selection in 2003, along with the Biletnikoff Award.
His No. 1 is retired by Pitt, and he's one of the few to make the College Football and Pro Football Hall of Fame. The Panthers sit at no. 3, with 11 Pro Football Hall-of-Famers.
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish and USC Trojans are tied for the most inducted Pro Football Hall of Famers, with 14. Notre Dame has inducted players like quarterback Joe Montana, running back Jerome Bettis, tight end Dave Casper, and defensive tackle Alan Page.
The Trojans, meanwhile, have seen players such as safety Troy Polamalu, defensive lineman Junior Seau, left tackle Anthony Munoz, safety Ronnie Lott, running backs Marcus Allen and O.J. Simpson, and wide receiver Lynn Swann. When people describe the Notre Dame-USC rivalry as one of the best in the game, this is the evidence.
Michigan is tied with Pitt, with 11 in total. That's a one-up on the Ohio State Buckeyes, who have 10. They sit at No. 5. The Miami Hurricanes are No. 6, with nine; Alabama and Syracuse are tied at No. 7 with eight; Minnesota's at No. 9 with seven, and Illinois is at No. 10 with six.
