#16 Georgia Tech vs. Boston College Football: Betting Preview & Prediction

Only two games left. This nightmare of a season will be over soon! Unfortunately, BC’s last home game will feature another ranked opponent in the Georgia Tech Yellowjackets. Be prepared for another bloodbath.

Frankly, there’s not much more to be said about this disaster of a season. Who knows who will start at QB? At least once we know who’s starting between James and Lonergan, we can pencil in the “backup” as the guy who will likely get the most snaps. I’d also love some clarity on Jaed’n Skeete and Bam Crouch. A few weeks back, O’Brien basically said both were done for the year. Then they magically reappear for the ND game, only to immediately head right back to the injury report last week. Smacks like both want out, as fast as possible.

Put simply, BC does not have the horses to hang with GT (to no one’s surprise). BC also has the misfortune of drawing the Yellowjackets immediately after their first loss of the season in an upset to NC State. That pretty much removes any chance of a trap game, in my eyes. BC’s linebackers will be torched by Haynes King. Malachi Hosley and Jamal Haynes are a strong backfield duo; they’ll also make some hay against BC’s defensive line. Finally, BC’s secondary won’t be able to hang with Eric Rivers (31 catches, 397 yards, 1 TD) and Isiah Cannon (22 catches, 329 yards, 2 TDs). Expect a lot of long and sustained drives for Georgia Tech. Who knows what we’ll see from BC’s offense.

Picks: Georgia Tech -16.5, U 58.5
