Following the commitment of his older brother, Chris Whitehead, Isaiah Whitehead committed to the Tigers as well.
Isaiah Whitehead is a 2028 offensive line prospect. Imagine the sibling rivalry between those two—and what a great opportunity it will be for them to train against each other. Isaiah measures in at 6’4″, 325 pounds, while his older brother checks in at 6’4″, 230 pounds. That’s nearly a 100-pound difference between the two brothers.
Isaiah is currently rated as a 3-star prospect and the No. 38 offensive tackle in the 2028 class. Coming off his sophomore season, the rising junior may have already become one of the steals of the 2028 recruiting cycle for LSU.
This is another situation where it’s important not to focus solely on the rankings but instead pay attention to the offer list. Isaiah held offers from Georgia, Florida State, Texas A&M, SMU, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, and several other Power Four programs.
As a prospect who won’t sign for more than a year, Whitehead still has plenty of time to develop physically and continue refining his game. Keep in mind that he is only entering his junior year of high school and still has two full seasons of football remaining before he begins his college career.
The Lane Train isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Who do you think could be the next prospect to climb aboard? Monshun Sales is wrapping up his visit, and Easton Royal remains a major target for the LSU staff.
