Additional Notes

  • American Conference Championship Game participants North Texas and Tulane share the lead with 12 selections apiece. Tulane and Memphis tie for the most First Team selections at 5 apiece.
  • This is the fourth-consecutive year Tulane leads the league in total selections. The Green Wave logged 17 selections in 2024, 15 in 2023 (tied with SMU for the most), and 13 in 2022.
  • This is the second-consecutive year Memphis leads the league in First Team selections. The Tigers had 7 selections in 2024 and 5 this season, tying Tulane for the most.
  • Drew Mestemaker is the first North Texas player to win American Offensive Player of the Year. He is the 12th quarterback in 13 years to win the award.
  • Landon Robinson is the first Navy player to win American Defensive Player of the Year. He is the first defensive tackle to win the award since 2017 Ed Oliver at Houston.
  • Patrick Durkin is the first Tulane player to win American Special Teams Player of the Year. He is the second-straight kicker to win the award, following UAB’s Jonah Delange.
  • The American Deep Snapper of the Year is a brand new award this season, and the first winner is Navy long snapper Rayne Fry.
  • Eric Morris is the first North Texas coach to win American Coach of the Year, becoming the first coach of one of the six former Conference USA programs that joined in 2023 to win the award. A coach in the American Championship Game host has won the award in six-consecutive seasons. However, Morris is the first coach of the conference title game’s visiting team to win in that span.
  • Caleb Hawkins is the first North Texas player to win American Rookie of the Year. He is the sixth running back to win the award in the past eight seasons.
  • There are four back-to-back First Team All-American Conference selections: Army C Brady Small, Tulane G Shadre Hurst, Memphis DL William Whitlow Jr., and Navy DL Landon Robinson.

In total, there are seven repeat selections.
  • North Texas guard Gabe Blair is the only all-conference selection from 2023 that earned the honors in 2025. Blair missed nearly the entirety of 2024 due to injury.
  • North Texas (12), East Carolina (9), Navy (7), and Rice (4) all set new program records for All-American Conference selections in a season. South Florida (10) tied its program record set in 2016.
