The 2025 Illinois High School Association football state championships are this Thanksgiving weekend at Hancock Stadium in Normal, with games Friday and Saturday on the Illinois State University campus.

Class 1A: Lena-Winslow 58, Brown County 13

NORMAL — Lena-Winslow won its seventh state championship since 2010, rolling over Mount Sterling Brown County on Friday morning.

Running backs Alec Schlichting (146 yards rushing and two TDs) and Aiden Wild (170 yards rushing and five TDs) dominated for LeWin (13-1), which built leads of 38-6 at halftime lead and 52-6 after the third and rolled up 440 rushing yards overall.

Eli Staton rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown to lead Brown County (11-3), which was playing in its first state championship game.
